A Welcome from Mrs Hopkins
Quinton Primary School is a village school about six miles from Stratford-upon-Avon. It has grown in size since September 2010 and, as a result of extensions to the existing building in the summer of 2014, is now single form entry with in excess of 240 children on roll.
Our latest successful Ofsted in June 2022 (published in September 2022) has confirmed that we continue to have a "good" school with high standards where both children and staff are highly motivated to do their very best. We have a school where our key priority is happy children who we want to look back on their school days as the best days of their lives.
If you want to know more or are moving into the area, please contact the school and come and see what we stand for. Whilst we have a wide range of extra-curricular clubs, including a breakfast club, we also work with Quinton Bright Kids who are based opposite the school and who offer wrap around and out of hours care for the children.
Quinton Primary School currently caters for children from the ages of 3 to 11 years with an exceptional Foundation Stage classroom for Reception and its own Nursery class where the youngest children can become familiar with the school before they start in "big school" in Reception. Our Early Years outdoor area was totally refurbished in 2021/22 and offers a superb environment to support the children's learning.
The school is set in pleasant grounds with a large playing field and ample playground facilities for the children with a separate play area for pupils in the Foundation Stage. The school is well equipped with resources to support your child’s learning. Every year group has an interactive whiteboard and we have 50+ Chromebooks for the children to work with which are readily available for each class. Our large hall is used for PE, assemblies and other curricular and extra-curricular school functions. We provide a broad and balanced curriculum which goes beyond legal requirements and caters for the widely differing needs of all our children. The school is founded on positive relationships between teachers, children and parents/carers and over the last two years we have developed and embedded a trauma-based approach to our Behaviour policy with a real focus on positivity and relationships . We aim to provide a welcoming, caring and happy atmosphere in which all of our children are valued and work to achieve their full potential in all aspects of school life. We feel very lucky to be a part of such a wonderful community, and love being here every day. This is the same hope we have for all our pupils - that they will thoroughly enjoy their primary school years and feel a real part of the Quinton family.
We believe that we are:
- An achieving school
- A learning school
- An inclusive school
- A forward thinking school
- A developing school
We believe in:
- Setting high expectations and making children feel secure and confident
- Building on what the children already know
- Structuring the curriculum to make it enjoyable, challenging and stimulating
- Letting children assess their own progress, set their own goals and reflect on their learning
