Good morning Year 5! I hope that you've had a lovely weekend and that you're ready for some more learning this week!
1) GOAL- To round decimals (Maths)
Follow the web link and watch the clip which explains how to round decimals (lesson 1, step 6 video). You can also complete the Flashback 4, which is part of the video, like we often do in class to remind you of some of the things which we have learnt over recent weeks.
Once you know what you're doing, have a go at the varied fluency questions (everyone should do the first 2 sheets and some of you will be able to challenge yourselves to the third). I have also uploaded the rounding decimals reasoning questions so that if you finish quickly, you have an extra challenge to move on to!
2) GOAL- To be able to use the prefixes de-, dis- and mis- (GPS)
Watch the Espresso video so that you understand fully what prefixes are! Once you have done that, you can have a go at the work! See how much you can complete! Once you've finished, you can check your answers.
Remember to keep practising the spellings which I posted on Friday, ready for a test on Friday this week!
Remember to read as much as possible whilst you are off- this will help you a lot when you come back to school as well as being an amazing way to pass the time if you are bored!
There is a new project for you on the 'Project Week 2' page!
