WB 10.01.22 Resources
Over the week, work your way through this workbook. I have included teacher notes to help parents.
We are working on the split digraph 'a_e' this week.
Please use the power point below to see how to form the letters correctly. Spend about 10 minutes working on developing your letters. You will find a letter for each day on the timetable.
For each day this week you have a video to watch and work through, then a set of questions to answer based on the video.
No sheet for today but you will need number cards and a dice!
I've included a link to a numberline for you to use too!
Have a go at some of the skills you have learnt this week. Use them to work out the following answers to these problems.
Work through the powerpoint then have a go at the activity sheets.
Begin by sharing the power point.
Then click the YouTube link and watch the song - it's going to help us learn the names on the continents.
Finally have a go at labeling the world map - can you match the correct name to each Continent - don't forget place names need a CAPITAL LETTER!
Take a look through the power point first of all.
Look back at your world map from yesterday. Label these places on your world map.
With an adult to help you, research some animals that live in each of these three places.
The North Pole
The South Pole
Write about one animal you have found that lives in each place.
Have a go at this reading comprehension today. There are three levels. Aim for the middle one, and if you're finding it too easy then have a go at the more challenging one.
Complete the questions about the reading you have done.
Investigate the seven continents. I have included a powerpoint and a link to bbc i-player with episodes of Go Jetters. Throughout the series there are episodes dedicated to each continent.
Choose 4 continents to reseach and write about. I have included booklet for you to print off to use if you would like to.
Draw an Autumnal tree on one piece of paper. On the other side draw another tree, but this time how it might look in Winter. Write some sentences to show what changes have happened to the tree as Autumn has turned into Winter.
