Watch the video and complete the activity for each day.

Literacy

Monday

Plural nouns.

Write a list of animals you can see in this picture - remember add 's' if there are more than one.

Next, use your words in sentences.  E.G.  The pigs are walking to the barn.

Tuesday

Draw a picture of your favourite character from all the fairy tales we have shared.

Surround your character with adjectives and words to describe your character.

Think about:

What they look like

What they are wearing

Their personality within the story

Any special features they have

Use your adjectives in sentences to create a character description.

Wednesday

Create a story map for your favourite fairy tale.  

I have included some examples of story maps for your to look at.

Thursday

Design your own fairy tale character.

Think about:

Is it going to be a hero or a villain?

What do they look like?

What is their personality like?

Are they animal, human or something else! 

Do they have any special features?

Friday

Use the plan below to create your own fairy tale using the character you have made.  You do not have to write your story out in full, but plan it out and think about what might happen.

You could even draw it out like a story map if you would prefer!

Think of all the things we have done in school this year.  Draw a picture and write about some of your favourite things we have done.

Then, create a list of all the things you are looking forward to in Year 2.  Are there any questions you have?  Include them on your list and we can answer them when you're back in school.

Science

How are your seeds growing?  

What have you been doing to keep them growing?

Go on a tree walk around the village.  Collect samples of different leaves from a variety of different trees and bushes.  If you aren't well enough to go out then look out of your window at the different trees you can see.

Do you think they are evergreen or deciduous?
