Admissions

The age of admission is 4+. The present county policy is to admit children in the September which precedes their fifth birthday.

 

The standard admission number per year group for Quinton Primary School is 30. Children are admitted to Nursery in the September following their third birthday.

Admissions Policy 

The school follows the Warwickshire Admissions criteria. Places will be offered by the Local Authority in the following order:

​Children with a Statement of Special Educational Needs that names a school will be admitted first. In this event, the number of places that remain for allocation will be reduced.

 

Children attending or with a place at a nursery class do not have a higher priority for and are not guaranteed a place in the linked infant or primary school.

 

Children in the care of, or provided with accommodation by, a local authority and children who were looked after, but ceased to be so because they were adopted (or became subject to a residence order or special guardianship order).

 

Children living in the priority area who have a brother or sister at the school at the time of admission.

 

Children living in the priority area who have a brother or sister at the partner junior school at the time of admission.

Other children living in the priority area.

 

Children living outside the priority area who have a brother or sister at the school at the time of admission.

 

Children living outside the priority area who have a brother or sister at the partner junior school at the time of admission.

Other children living outside the priority area.

 

Parents should note that there is a county appeals procedure, which may allow extra places in any year group.

 

Priority Area

The Parish of Quinton and the northern part of the Parish of Admington (excluding Lark Stoke) and part of the Parish of Long Marston east of the disused railway track (excluding the village).
