At Quinton Primary School, we believe that education is about more than just what happens in the classroom. We are passionate about giving our children a wealth of opportunities to develop their talents, explore new interests, and build the skills and confidence they need for life. Curriculum enrichment is a central part of our ethos, and we are proud to offer an exciting, varied programme for all pupils.
Our curriculum enrichment offer includes a wide range of clubs, our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) programme, sporting opportunities, music opportunities and dedicated curriculum enrichment days. Together, these experiences are carefully designed to inspire a love of learning across different subjects, nurture creativity and teamwork, and ensure every child has the chance to discover and develop their unique strengths.
We offer a broad selection of lunchtime clubs designed to spark curiosity and cater for different interests from sports and crafts to choir and mindfulness. These clubs allow pupils to try new activities, develop friendships, and nurture skills in a fun, inclusive environment.

Sport is an important part of school life at Quinton. We provide regular opportunities for children to take part in matches and tournaments with local schools, fostering teamwork, perseverance, and a healthy competitive spirit. Whether representing the school in football, netball, athletics, or other sports, our pupils show fantastic commitment and sportsmanship.

Music is something we believe every child should experience and enjoy. All pupils at Quinton learn the recorder and the ukulele as part of our curriculum, giving them a strong foundation in musical skills. We also offer peripatetic music lessons for a variety of instruments, giving children the chance to develop specialist skills. Pupils can join one of our school bands, perform at events, and even take part in Young Voices, an unforgettable experience singing as part of one of the largest school choirs in the world.

Curriculum Enrichment Days
Our Curriculum Enrichment Days are carefully planned across all subjects and are led by our passionate and knowledgeable subject leaders. Each day is thoughtfully designed to deepen learning, broaden experiences and celebrate the unique value of every area of the curriculum. These inspiring and thought-provoking opportunities are particularly meaningful for children who have a special interest or talent in a subject, allowing them to explore their passions in greater depth. Above all, our Enrichment Days aim to spark curiosity, raise aspirations and inspire children to see the possibilities that their interests today could become in the future.
