At Quinton Primary School, we believe that education is about more than just what happens in the classroom. We are passionate about giving our children a wealth of opportunities to develop their talents, explore new interests, and build the skills and confidence they need for life. Curriculum enrichment is a central part of our ethos, and we are proud to offer an exciting, varied programme for all pupils.
We offer a broad selection of lunchtime clubs designed to spark curiosity and cater for different interests from sports and crafts to choir and mindfulness. These clubs allow pupils to try new activities, develop friendships, and nurture skills in a fun, inclusive environment.
We follow the OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) Programme, ensuring that all our pupils enjoy high-quality play every day. This approach transforms playtimes into rich learning opportunities, helping children to develop creativity, resilience, social skills, and a love of being active.
Sport is an important part of school life at Quinton. We provide regular opportunities for children to take part in matches and tournaments with local schools, fostering teamwork, perseverance, and a healthy competitive spirit. Whether representing the school in football, netball, athletics, or other sports, our pupils show fantastic commitment and sportsmanship.
Music is something we believe every child should experience and enjoy. All pupils at Quinton learn the recorder and the ukulele as part of our curriculum, giving them a strong foundation in musical skills. We also offer peripatetic music lessons for a variety of instruments, giving children the chance to develop specialist skills. Pupils can join one of our school bands, perform at events, and even take part in Young Voices, an unforgettable experience singing as part of one of the largest school choirs in the world.
