Keeping you Informed

Quinton Primary School > Parents > Keeping you Informed

At Quinton Primary School, we believe that strong communication between school and home is key to supporting our pupils’ success. We are committed to keeping parents and carers informed about school news, important updates, and their child’s progress in a variety of ways.

Main Communication – Reach More Parents

Our primary communication tool is Reach More Parents, which allows us to share important messages, newsletters, event reminders, and updates directly with families. We encourage all parents to download the app to stay connected with school life.

Tracking Your Child’s Progress

  • Tapestry (Reception & Nursery) – In our Reception and Nursery classes, we use Tapestry, an online learning journal where teachers share observations, photos, and updates on your child’s learning journey. Parents can also contribute by adding their own observations from home.
  • Parents’ Evenings – We hold two Parents’ Evenings each year, providing an opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with their teacher.
  • Reports – Parents receive an Interim Report in February, giving an overview of progress so far, and a detailed End-of-Year Report in July, summarising achievements and next steps.

Opportunities to Get Involved

We welcome parents into school regularly to celebrate learning and experience school life first-hand. Events throughout the year include:
✅ Termly Celebration of Learning Events – A chance to see children’s work and progress.
✅ Class Assemblies & Performances – Showcasing pupils’ learning and talents.
✅ Exhibitions & Displays – Highlighting special projects and achievements.
✅ Craft Events & Workshops – Engaging sessions for parents and children to enjoy together.
✅ Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) – Our PTA plays a vital role in supporting the school by organising fundraising events, social activities, and initiatives that benefit our pupils. All parents are welcome to get involved and contribute to our school community.

We value the partnership between school and home and encourage parents to be as involved as possible.
