In March children from Years 1 – 6 took part in the Science enrichment day.
They enjoyed a very exciting day with some extremely exciting visitors. We met a falcon, hawk, barn owl and eagle owl, and listened very carefully to how they are adapted to be birds of prey. The children were even lucky enough to have a go at handling the birds, and Juliet the Barn Owl flew across the hall to each child in turn. In the afternoon, the children put their science observation skills to the test and dissected owl pellets. The owl pellets were full of bones that the children had to match up on a chart to discover which animal the owl had eaten. It was a fascinating day full of moments of wonder and curiosity!
