Visitors to the class (28/09/23)!
Today we had a visit from some Giant African Land Snails which belong to one of the children in class. There were 3 in total, a large one a middle sized one and a small one. The children were shown what they eat (kale, carrot peelings, egg shells and calcium dust) and had chance to hold one if they wanted to. We had to spray their hands first, before they held the snail, otherwise it would hurt their body. Lots of children were very brave and the snail was very friendly, looking around at everyone with his long antennae type eyes!
