We are lucky enough to have access to a beautiful forest school area where we spend a lot of time. Forest school provides the children with the opportunity to explore and learn about the natural world and how to care for it. It also allows children to learn resilience, independence and develop their physical skills. There are numerous benefits to being outdoors in all weathers including developing problem solving skills and risk taking, building self-esteem and confidence, increasing social skills, concentration and most importantly having fun!  

During our sessions, we learn how to stay safe and be respectful to creatures and plants, build dens and structures, climb trees, get muddy and be creative and imaginative. The skills we develop at forest school directly impact on learning within the classroom and later in life.
